Mary Lynn Talley Leach

I paint to honor the quiet resilience of the wild. Growing up in South Louisiana, I learned to see beauty in places often overlooked—wetlands, marshes, and the fragile edges where land meets water. My work centers on endangered species and threatened habitats, using oil paint to slow the viewer’s gaze and invite a moment of care. I blend realism with soft atmospheric light, aiming to preserve not only what is seen, but what is felt in these vulnerable spaces. Each piece is a tribute to the creatures and ecosystems that depend on our stewardship. Through color, texture, and intimate detail, I hope to inspire protection, reverence, and a renewed connection to the natural world.
