Elizabeth Yarosz-Ash

Elizabeth A. Yarosz-Ash is a representational painter whose work has evolved over more than four decades, from watercolor to her current acrylic paintings. While her medium, scale, and visual language have changed, representation remains the constant foundation of her practice. Her paintings use familiar subjects to explore perception, memory, cultural meaning, and the complexities beneath what we see. Although her studio practice has also included works on paper, collage, printmaking, and sculpture, painting remains central to her work. A Professor Emeritus of Art at Midwestern State University, Yarosz-Ash has exhibited nationally and internationally and has received numerous awards for her work. Her career includes a Fulbright Specialist appointment in Grenada and a visiting instructor position at the Professional High School of Visual Art in Holguín, Cuba; her work is held in more than 90 corporate, institutional, and private collections.
